Creatures have attributes based on the color of the cells used to create them.
- Red: The creature will move faster.
- Green: The creature will live longer.
- Blue: The creature can search farther away for food.
After each cell in the creature has eaten food of its color, it will reproduce.
Create a creature by adding cells to the species creator at the bottom of the screen. Tap to add a cell, tap again to change the color of that cell, tap and hold to remove a cell. Try to maintain a balance between your creatures by controlling their evolution so no single food type gets overeaten. If you're successful, the ecosystem will last. If not, all your creatures will go extinct!
This is a fun and classic resource-management and population dynamics simulation, but far simpler in execution than e.g. Simcity, The Sims, Cafeteria Nipponica, or other Kairosoft games. The focus is more on the emergent behavior borne of subtleties in how you design your creatures and how they play off each other. So it is ea sy to learn, difficult to master. Also, while the look-and-feel might remind you of Minesweeper, Tetris, Bejeweled, Drop7 by Zynga, Zookeeper, etc. (because of the grid), it is nothing like those games which are more action-oriented.
The free version comes with the first tutorial level.
